I SAW THE ENGLISH DUB FOR GURREN LAGANN LAST NIGHT XD

lol, i’ve been like…waiting and waiting for this day to come and now I finally hear their English voices xD 

Ok! So i guess in this post, I’ll just review the voices and the translation.

Oh, and speaking of the translation.

WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK I AM KIIIIIIIICK!!!!!

LOL that part cracked me up xD you gotta watch the episode to get it.

Also, Simon’s name is pronounced See-mon. I wish they’d pronouce it SHI-MON. q_q…. But at least it’s not like…Sai-mon >_>;; 

And instead of aniki, it’s BRO. HEY BRO.

The translation was great, the dialogue matched the personalities of the characters perfectly, especially Lee Ron

Now on to the voices…

Simon (Lowenthal, Yuri): Adult Simon = EXTREMLY SEXY. Young Simon = not so much. I mean, the voice fits Simon and some points more than it doesn’t. And a lot of points, the voice sounds a little too old and teenager-ish. BUT THE COOL PART IS, YURI LOWENTHAL IS GONNA BE AT OTAKON KYAA~! So I’ll definatly meet him and ask for an autograph. The voice of Simon~ Kyaa~

Kamina (Hebert, Kyle): When Kamina is yelling, his voice actor like… delivers it perfectly. However, when Kamina is talking like… casually his voice is a bit too young for him. I wish his voice was just a bit more deeper, cuz it kinda sounds like a sufer dude. But none the less, his voice is very adaptable, it’s not terriable or anyhting like that. And it fits Kamina, so yay :D

Yoko (Ruff, Michelle): I LOVED YOKO’S VOICE. AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING <3 Michelle Ruff has an extremely nice voice. It’s different than how Yoko sounded in the Japanese version, but this voice sounded a LOT better. Props to Yoko’s voice, that’s all I have to say.

Lee Ron (Blum, Steven): Considering the fact that Steven Blum doesn’t really talk like a gay guy, Lee Ron has an amazing voice actor. OMG I JUST LOOKED IT UP, AND STEVEN BLUM DID ONIZUKA-SENSEI LOL WTF. Two completly different character’s and voices! This guy is like freakin amazing!!!

That’s pretty much all the characters I can remember. I’m so siked to hear Virals voice next week!!  For anyone who’s interested in seeing the Gurren Lagann english dub, it comes on the SciFi channel every Monday from 11:00 pm - 12:00 pm. If you wait like…a couple of days, i’m pretty sure someone is gonna upload it on veoh. Ciao-su!
